Belmont Youth Basketball Association (BYBA) is gearing up for another season of youth basketball for all students who live or attend school in Belmont in grades 2 through 8! Registration opens on August 12th.

The Rookies Program is an 8-week developmental basketball program for 2nd graders. Each week a Coach will lead a 1 hour and 15 minute session which will include skills and games. Adult parent volunteers are needed to assist the coaches with each session. This program is limited so please be sure to register children participants and parent volunteers as soon as possible.

BYBA’s In-town program is open to 3rd through 8th grade players of all skill levels. If you are new to the game or have played since you could walk, this program is for you! We strive to form balanced teams such that the overall talents are spread equally among all teams. Equal playing time for all players is assured by dividing games into 5-minute periods and by each coach’s use of a predetermined rotation schedule.

Please note:  If you have already registered for our Travel Program, you are automatically registered for the in-town program.

Parent and High School volunteer coaches are needed for our in-town program. The 3rd/4th grade division will be coached solely by parents, while the 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade division will be coached only by HS students.

BHS students may also apply to become a Referee in the program. Referees are paid and will be assigned 1-3 games each Saturday. Students should apply only if they can maintain this commitment.

In addition, waitlist registration for the Travel Program remains open for 4th through 8th graders. Full details on in-town basketball are listed under the "In-town Program" tab above. To register, please use the "Register Online" link on the left side of the page.
